Our guide sort of slid us through the crowds; with the skip-the-line entry, I had this wow moment in Topkapi Palace where the inner courtyard felt almost quiet, like it was just for us. He shared bits of history without overdoing it. Everything ran smooth, no stress at all.

The most unexpected part for me was seeing both sides of the city at once from the Bosphorus boat. The schedule was well planned, meeting times were clear, and we didn’t feel rushed. Walking around Sultanahmet, getting a bit lost in the Grand Bazaar, and all the spice smells was really nice. The guide explained Hagia Sophia and Topkapi in a simple way, not too long. Katalay team also handled hotel and transfers without hassle.

What stayed with me most was the group vibe; over tea I made friends from all over. Our guide told the old stories around Sultanahmet in a lively way, and the sunset on the Bosphorus cruise felt special. But the timing was messy: we waited too long at some stops and then rushed through the Grand Bazaar. The hotel was also a bit noisy, so sleep wasn’t easy.

The unexpected highlight for me was the Bosphorus cruise; the evening lights on the water felt calm and kind of magic. We walked a lot in the old city, but the pace was fair. Our guide explained the history around Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet in a simple way, not too heavy. I also liked having some free time in the Grand Bazaar, even getting a bit lost was fun. Hotel was decent, only one night the room was a little noisy.

The sunset on the Bosphorus surprised me, it was calmer than I expected. Our guide was polite and organized, and we didn’t miss the small details inside Topkapi Palace. Walking around Sultanahmet (especially in the evening) felt really nice, and I got a bit lost in the Grand Bazaar but it was fun. Hotel was clean, and the schedule wasn’t too tiring.

The thing that got me most was when we got on the boat in the Bosphorus and the city lights were shaking on the water. The Old City walk was full but it didn’t feel rushed. The guide explained the stories of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque in a simple way, not confusing. I got a bit lost in the Grand Bazaar and even that was fun. Hotel was clean, transfers arrived on time too.

My favorite moment was sitting on the boat on the Bosphorus, watching mosques and old wooden houses slide past. The guide told stories in a simple way, and the Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar part was really good. Hotel and transfers worked smooth, only one lunch stop felt a bit too touristy. Overall the city feels so alive, even the evening walks were a highlight by themself.

Our guide made us feel comfy in like 2 minutes, no big-crowd tour vibe at all. Small group, felt kinda exclusive everywhere. Wandering around Sultanahmet was chill, and we didn’t get lost in the Grand Bazaar :) The Bosphorus cruise at night with the lights… wow. History bits were short but spot on. The moment we got on the Bosphorus boat, everything felt calmer. I liked the walks around Sultanahmet in the Old City, stopping by Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar; the guide explained history in a simple way, not boring.
