Yegor K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
The moment that hit me was walking between the columns in the underground cistern; the worn carvings in the stone and the rhythm of the brick arches felt like stepping back centuries. Our guide quietly pointed out details, no rush. All day it was old walls, broken columns, bits of mosaic… everything just clicked. Perfect day, honestly.
Sindre L. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
I was honestly relieved before the day even started because the hotel pick-up was so smooth. The air-conditioned bus stayed cool even in the crowds, and every stop just clicked on time. My one real wow moment was stepping into Sultanahmet Square and seeing it all open up at once; the guide told a few short stories and it suddenly felt alive. No stress, it just flowed.
Jordi P. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide explained why the columns and arches still stand and I swear it felt like history class with stand-up comedy. The dome details inside Hagia Sophia blew my mind, and at the Hippodrome ruins I realized the stones are older than my jokes. In the Basilica Cistern my echo scared me more than Medusa. Katalay team ran it all perfectly.
Callum P. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide’s Hagia Sophia stories meant we saw loads in no time.
Maha A. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
I thought the crowds would eat us alive, but our guide basically slid us past the lines like we were VIPs (sweaty VIPs). We stopped around Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque area, and at Topkapi we were inside while everyone else was still negotiating with their tickets. The history bits weren’t boring, lots of little jokes. By lunch my “I’m lost” comedy routine didn’t even work. Perfect day.
Wing S. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Our guide proved even stones can gossip. I lost count of columns at the Hippodrome, went cross-eyed at Topkapi’s tiles, and in the Basilica Cistern I felt like I walked onto a movie set. The old walls and arches were seriously cool, but the crowds at a couple stops made it hard to stare at the details. Still, lots of laughs and history.
Renzo P. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Our guide helped us skip long lines, so I enjoyed Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar before crowds hit, but walking was long.
Bastien R. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide slipped us away from the crowds into quiet courtyards and hidden lanes; the light was unreal, my photos look pro, and I still feel nostalgic.
Jordi C. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Near golden hour the city turned liquid gold; our guide dropped history while I negotiated with seagulls using simit crumbs. The colors around Sultanahmet felt unreal, and Topkapi’s courtyard caught the light like honey. Everything was perfect.
Taavi K. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
I kept thinking how much of the old city we squeezed into one day. Sultanahmet Square, Hagia Sophia exterior, Basilica Cistern and the Grand Bazaar flowed in a fast but logical order; the guide kept pace with short history bits. But the crowds in the bazaar got a bit overwhelming, so not a 5.
Pascal N. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
We basically slid past the crowds; no lines, the day just flowed. Guide dropped quick history bits, Sultanahmet felt zero stress, just fun.
Yael S. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Our guide was a walking joke machine, and somehow we squeezed Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Topkapi into one day—my brain and my feet both did a marathon. I almost married a cup of tea while bargaining in the Grand Bazaar. The Katalay team kept it smooth, but a couple stops felt rushed because of crowds, so not 5 stars.
Fahad N. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
The old city felt alive because of the guide’s stories. Walking around Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque area, he kept adding small details about emperors and daily life, which made it stick in my head. Topkapi Palace was the strongest part for me, every corner had a meaning. But a couple stops felt rushed because of the crowds, so not a full 5. Still, really enjoyable.
Andreas K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide made us feel like insiders, even with crowds all around. In the small group we wandered Sultanahmet calmly; the stories behind Hagia Sophia, the Hippodrome, and Basilica Cistern landed without rushing. Everything flowed, and questions felt welcome. By the end my feet were tired, but my head was happily full.
Lulwa A. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
We kind of glided past the crowds; the skip-the-line entry honestly made the whole day. Our guide kept the history alive with small stories, and around Sultanahmet I never felt squeezed in. It was a full day but it flowed easy, everything just worked.
Noura A. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Hotel pick-up was so smooth I almost tipped the driver with a hug; the air-conditioned bus saved me from Istanbul heat. Our guide’s history stories around Sultanahmet had me feeling like I’m in a TV drama.
Marek K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide nailed the vibe right away. At golden hour the city glowed like honey and copper, and around Sultanahmet everything turned warm gold. History bits were short and clear, pace was perfect. Katalay team was chill too.
Tuomas K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide flowed us through old stones; arches, mosaics, cistern cool air… history felt alive. Everything just clicked, loved it.
Bojan P. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
The best part was a short stop in Sultanahmet near golden hour, when the stones turned honey-colored and the minaret shadows got long. Our guide spoke so calmly that even with the crowds it felt peaceful. Seeing Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque in that light made the whole city look like a painting. Everything ran smooth, no stress at all.
Ezequiel G. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Before I even finished my coffee, I was already speed-walking around Sultanahmet. We covered soooo much in a short time: outside of Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar. Guide kept it moving but never felt rushed, and the stories were on point. Head full, heart happy :)
Gonçalo P. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide, right from the first street, showed little courtyards and rooftops hiding behind the crowds, with perfect light for photos. We saw the big spots around Sultanahmet, but what stayed with me was the quiet under old stone walls. It wasn’t just history, it was a feeling. By the end my phone was full, and I was weirdly full of nostalgia too.
Nabirye K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Golden hour colors warmed me, like old memories.
Fahad A. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide sorted it fast; skipped lines, dodged crowds. Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque felt easy, just enjoyed it all.
Tiago F. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide slipped us inside before the crowds woke up, and I finally felt the old stones of Istanbul in peace. The skip-the-line part really mattered; Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Basilica Cistern were moments, not waiting. I still carry that day.
Laith S. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Wandering the streets, vibe was perfect; made friends from everywhere, and the guide was so sweet.
Renzo C. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide slipped us into the main sights before the crowds really built up, and I felt the difference right away. With skip-the-line access we didn’t waste hours at Hagia Sophia or the Basilica Cistern; I could actually look at the details in peace. The stories around Sultanahmet were vivid, and the Grand Bazaar stop was short but sweet. Smooth day, zero stress.
Thando K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Within minutes I felt the group’s energy. Walking through Sultanahmet, seeing Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar, I ended up chatting with new friends from all over. The guide’s stories were vivid, and the whole day just flowed nicely.
Kemar B. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Golden hour painted the city like melted copper, but the Grand Bazaar felt too crowded.
Minseo K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide made me feel comfortable right away, and the day flowed really smoothly. Beyond the big sights, we found tiny hidden corners in courtyards and back lanes that looked perfect for pro photos, especially in the soft morning light. Around Sultanahmet the angles were chosen well, and we slipped to the Hippodrome side to avoid crowds. The Katalay team handled the details, so I could just shoot.
Tsvetan K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide stopped at the Hippodrome and explained how the old races shaped the city, and I got goosebumps. The stories were so vivid I kept staring at the stones like I could see the past. The pace all day felt perfect, never boring.
Faisal N. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide made the stonework feel alive—columns, old walls, all of it; Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, and Hippodrome hit me right in the heart.
Tariro N. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Somewhere between the stone streets, I couldn’t believe how much we fitted into one day. Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, and the Grand Bazaar were all there, yet it never felt rushed. Our guide’s stories warmed my heart; even at night my mind was still walking there.
Torbjörn L. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
What really hit me was how the guide explained the power games and layers of faith under the Hagia Sophia dome—suddenly the stones felt alive. Walking around Sultanahmet, it felt like every corner had a story. I caught myself getting goosebumps just standing in the Topkapi courtyard, picturing the past. Everything ran smooth, zero stress.
Bram V. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
The hotel pick-up was so smooth I thought I was still dreaming. The air-conditioned bus saved me from Istanbul heat; I was sweating and the bus was basically laughing in cool air. Guide’s history bits were fun, and I even survived the Grand Bazaar without getting lost.
Mina S. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Our guide had us laughing in 5 minutes, and somehow I ended up making friends from like 6 countries. Walking around Sultanahmet, stopping by Hagia Sophia outside, then bargaining in the Grand Bazaar… the group chat was funnier than my cousins. But the waiting lines at a couple spots were kinda long, so not 5 stars. Still, lovely vibe.
Selamawit B. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide’s stories in Hagia Sophia stunned me; the past felt alive, everything was perfect.
Nico B. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide made everything easy from the first minute; hotel pick-up was on time and the air-conditioned bus saved us from the heat. Walking around Sultanahmet, the old stories kinda sank in. The day flew by, but it left me feeling quietly nostalgic.
Berkay S. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Golden-hour colors took me back, quietly.
Bojan K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Even in the crowds, it felt like our own small, private circle; the guide’s stories sank into me around Sultanahmet. After Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern and the Grand Bazaar, I didn’t wanna leave.
Ece Y. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Near sunset, the Old City colors just melted together; our guide told stories without overdoing it, and walking around Sultanahmet in that golden light felt peaceful, like everything was perfectly timed.
Nadir B. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
What stayed with me was our guide stopping our tiny group in the Hagia Sophia courtyard and pointing up, telling the story like it was just for us. Even with crowds around, it felt kind of private. Walking around Sultanahmet was easy, the pace was spot on. Everything ran smooth, no stress at all.
Taras K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
I didn’t expect one story to hit me like that, but under the Hagia Sophia dome our guide explained the layers of emperors, riots, prayers… and it suddenly felt alive. Walking through Sultanahmet after that, even the stones looked like they remember. Everything was perfect, pacing was just right, and I kept thinking wow all day.
Minh Q. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Loved the guide’s funny history stories, but a bit crowded.
Taras K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide somehow made us feel like family from the bus, and that stayed all day. My wow moment was in the Grand Bazaar: he joked with a shopkeeper, then slipped in a tiny history story, and suddenly the crowd felt friendly, not stressful. Everything just worked, I left tired and very happy.
Javier C. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Seamless pickup, comfy air-conditioned bus; but the bazaar was too crowded.
Bojan K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide kept slipping us into tiny courtyards and quiet back lanes, where the light was just right for photos. In Sultanahmet I found mosaic walls, then in the Grand Bazaar the color details—every corner felt like a frame. The history bits were short but rich, and the pace stayed easy. Katalay team ran it smooth, I just shot.
Bram D. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Our guide had everything organised from the start, so the day felt easy. We walked around Sultanahmet and the Hippodrome area, and Hagia Sophia from outside was really impressive. At Topkapi Palace the stories were well explained, but the crowds made it feel a bit rushed sometimes. We had a short stop at the Grand Bazaar, a little too much, but I still enjoyed it.
Kwame A. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Our guide’s story about old palace politics at Topkapi gave me chills; it felt like the stones were still keeping secrets. But the crowds around Sultanahmet were a bit much, so our group got split and I missed a few words.
Märt R. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Our guide made things easy from the first minute, and even with the crowds around Sultanahmet it felt under control. We walked through the old streets, got a good outside explanation of Hagia Sophia, then went down into the Basilica Cistern (cool inside, a bit slippery). The Grand Bazaar stop was a little rushed for me, I wanted more time. Still, the history bits were clear and the pace was ok.
Laith N. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Turning into side streets, our guide led us to quiet courtyards and perfect photo terraces; my heart is still there, everything felt perfect.
Neville C. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide slipped us away from the crowds into little courtyards and rooftop views, perfect golden-hour light for photos. The side streets around Sultanahmet and the Hippodrome felt really postcard. History bits were short but spot on, and the pace was easy. Katalay team ran it smoothly.
Nusrat J. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Slipping past the crowds with skip-the-line entry felt like a small miracle. Our guide kept the history short but vivid, and the pace around Sultanahmet was just right. Not waiting at Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern saved the whole day, we saw more and felt less tired.
Bastien L. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
What stayed with me was how the Old City changed color at golden hour; the stones went honey-gold and the Bosphorus side looked pink-blue. Wandering around Sultanahmet, seeing Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque in that light felt unreal. Our guide shared history without overdoing it, and the pace was just right. Everything ran smooth.
Andreas K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Hotel pick-up was so smooth I thought I was dreaming. The air-conditioned bus was the real hero; outside I’d melt, inside I listened to history like a cool cucumber. We walked around Sultanahmet, I got lost in the Grand Bazaar, and the guide rescued me laughing. Everything ran perfect.
Farah N. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
With our small group, the Old City felt like it belonged to us; the guide’s stories stayed with me walking from Hagia Sophia to the Grand Bazaar. By the end I felt oddly nostalgic, everything just clicked.
Renzo P. 3.0 / 5 Average
Stone arches, old walls rocked; but waits were too long.
Ploy K. 3.0 / 5 Average
I felt like I walked into a history book, except with more laughing. The guide pointed out tiny details in the arches and old walls, and I kept thinking every stone wanted a selfie. But the lines were long and the walking got a bit much, my feet protested by the end.
Nabila E. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Our guide’s energy made the whole day feel easy. We walked around Sultanahmet, saw the outside of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, and had some free time in the Grand Bazaar. I liked the history parts, learned a lot. Only thing is we rushed a bit at a couple stops, and lunch was a little confusing.
Benoît C. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Within minutes I felt like I’d joined a tiny UN; lots of laughs around Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar, but the crowds got a bit much sometimes.
Niamh K. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
What I loved most was how small the group felt, more like being shown around by a local than a big tour. Our guide made the stories in Sultanahmet easy to follow, and we had proper time at Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern without being rushed. However the Grand Bazaar stop was a bit too crowded, so it was hard to browse at my own pace. Still, the day flowed nicely and felt quite exclusive.
Gonçalo P. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Our guide made us feel relaxed in the first minutes, which helped a lot. We walked a lot around Sultanahmet; saw the outside of Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome, then also did Basilica Cistern. The history parts were really nice, but at a couple stops it felt a bit rushed. Still, the group was well managed and everything ran smooth.

It’s a long day, but by the end it all made sense.

Topkapi Palace was a bit crowded in some rooms, but the stories and little details made up for it. Lunch was ok, just felt a bit rushed. Overall a solid full day.
Bram V. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Walking into the old city near golden hour, everything turned honey-colored; the stones around Sultanahmet and the Bosphorus light just hit my heart. Our guide told stories calmly, and I felt like I was collecting memories. But the Grand Bazaar was a bit too crowded, so not 5 stars.

I liked how effortless the day felt from the start, hotel pick-up was right on time. The air-conditioned bus was a lifesaver in the heat, and the pacing between walks and short breaks felt well planned. Our guide explained the stories behind Topkapi Palace and the Hippodrome in a clear way, and we still had time to soak up the atmosphere around Hagia Sophia. The Katalay team kept everyone together. Tiring, but perfectly organized.

Our guide made it clear right away he knew what he was doing, and the day stayed pretty smooth. We walked around Sultanahmet, saw the outside area of Hagia Sophia, heard stories at the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome, and had a bit of free time in the Grand Bazaar. Info was clear and the group was handled well. Only downside: the lunch stop felt a bit touristy and pricey.

We walked around Sultanahmet, saw Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque from outside, then went down into the Basilica Cistern. Thando K. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Our guide jumped straight into stories and I was hooked. Walking around Sultanahmet, seeing Hagia Sophia from outside, then hearing the backstory of the Hippodrome and Basilica Cistern… it felt like history class, just not boring. Loved the little details and legends. But the Grand Bazaar area was super crowded, sometimes I couldn’t hear the guide properly. Still, totally worth it.

Our guide started telling stories about the city before we even got off the bus, and I liked that. The walk around Sultanahmet felt easy; even seeing Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque from outside was impressive. Topkapi had a lot of details, sometimes hard to follow but it added meaning. We got a bit of free time in the Grand Bazaar and I just grabbed tea and looked around. Overall a full day, but you end up tired.

Our guide kind of saved the day with his energy right away. We walked around Sultanahmet, looked at Hagia Sophia from outside, went into the Blue Mosque and down to the Basilica Cistern. It’s a long day but the pace was comfortable, not rushed.

What hit me most was when our guide slipped us into a tiny courtyard away from the crowds; near the Arasta area, the light under those stone arches was like a photo studio. Suddenly it felt quiet, just seagulls and a distant call to prayer. He gave a quick bit of history, then said “now shoot,” and yep, my best Istanbul pics happened right there. Everything ran smooth, pacing felt just right.

My favorite part was just walking the old streets and feeling like the city has layers of centuries on top of each other. Our guide took us around Sultanahmet; the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia from outside, and the Basilica Cistern was cool and a little spooky (in a good way). We also had a quick stop at the Grand Bazaar. Only downside: midday crowds were tiring and the pace felt a bit fast sometimes.

What I liked most was how well paced the day felt. We walked around Sultanahmet, saw Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque from outside, and the Basilica Cistern was really cool. The guide explained the history in a simple way and answered questions patiently. Only downside: the lunch stop felt a bit touristy and rushed, I would’ve preferred something more local.

Our guide started telling stories the moment we got off the bus, and the day just flew. Walking around Sultanahmet, seeing Hagia Sophia from outside, and the cool air inside Basilica Cistern was really nice. Grand Bazaar was a bit too crowded, but that’s Istanbul. Nothing felt rushed, it was well balanced.

My favorite part was just feeling the layers of history while walking around. Our guide kept things moving at Topkapi Palace, Sultanahmet Square, and the Basilica Cistern without rushing us. We also got a bit of free time in the Grand Bazaar and I got lost, but in a fun way. Lunch wasn’t anything special though. By the end my brain was full of facts (in a good way).

Walking around Sultanahmet was a nice pace; we saw Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque from outside and heard the stories, then went down into the Basilica Cistern. We had a short break in the Grand Bazaar, no pressure, just fun to look around. By the end my feet were tired but my head was full (in a good way).

Our guide made the city feel alive from the start, and I got pulled in fast. We walked around Sultanahmet, stopped by Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, and learned lots of details at Topkapi Palace. Our guide made us feel comfortable right away, so the whole day went easy. We walked around Sultanahmet, saw the Hippodrome area and the Basilica Cistern, then had a short free time in the Grand Bazaar. The history bits were interesting but not too heavy, just enough. Only small thing: at some stops it got a bit packed because of crowds, but that’s Istanbul.

Our guide made it feel welcoming right away, and explained the history in a simple way. We walked around Sultanahmet, saw Hagia Sophia from outside and the area around it, stopped at the Hippodrome and Basilica Cistern. Topkapi Palace was also impressive. Only issue was it got crowded and sometimes it was hard to hear the group. Still, it was a full day.
Fabian B. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide made it easy to move through the crowds from the first minute, and the day just flowed nicely. We saw Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque from outside in Sultanahmet, then at Topkapi Palace the stories really brought the buildings to life. The free time in the Grand Bazaar was a good break, even if it got a bit loud. Lunch was simple but fine. By evening I was tired, but I felt like I finally understood the old part of Istanbul better.

Our guide made us feel comfortable right away and kept the energy steady all day. We walked around Sultanahmet, saw the Hippodrome and Basilica Cistern, and had a short break at the Grand Bazaar. It’s a lot of history but explained in simple way, so I didnt get lost. By the end I was tired, but worth it, especially the cistern mood stayed in my head.

Our guide made us feel comfortable right away, and the pace stayed pretty balanced all day. Walking around Sultanahmet, we saw Hagia Sophia from outside, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace with lots of little stories in between. The Basilica Cistern was an unexpected favorite for me, cool and quiet. Grand Bazaar was a bit too crowded, but that’s Istanbul I guess. Nothing felt rushed, which I really liked.
Sanduni P. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Near golden hour the Old City just glowed. The stones went honey-gold and the minarets cut into a pink sky. Wandering around Sultanahmet felt super chill; even seeing Hagia Sophia from outside hit different. Guide kept the history bite-size, not boring. Everything flowed easy and my photos came out crazy good.
Yunior P. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide made the old part of the city feel easy from the start. We walked around Sultanahmet, saw the outside of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, and cooled off in the Basilica Cistern. I got a bit lost in the Grand Bazaar but it was fun too. The history part wasn’t boring, he told it with little stories. Long day but worth it.

Our guide had me laughing in the first minutes, like history class turned into stand-up. Walking around Sultanahmet, he tied Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Basilica Cistern together with stories; I felt inside a novel. Everything was perfect, and the Katalay team was super too.
Bastien K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Within 10 minutes the guide had me hooked, stories like a movie. Walking around Sultanahmet felt like every stone had drama. Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar… all connected, never boring. Katalay team was super chill too. 5/5.

Mubarak A. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
My favorite moment was slipping through Sultanahmet with our tiny group while the guide quietly explained the old mosaics inside Hagia Sophia—it felt kinda exclusive. But the Grand Bazaar stop was a bit too crowded and rushed, I wanted a few more minutes.
Thando N. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide spun Topkapi Palace gossip and Hagia Sophia drama so funny I nearly snorted; the history suddenly felt alive, and the whole day just flowed perfectly.
Yorley P. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Our guide somehow kept us away from the crowds, and with such a small group I had this quiet “wow” moment in the Hagia Sophia courtyard. But we waited a bit too long at the Grand Bazaar, so not 5.
Nafis R. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
What surprised me most was how much history you feel just by turning a corner in the Old City. Our guide walked us through Sultanahmet, around Hagia Sophia, the Basilica Cistern, and into the Grand Bazaar at a calm pace. The stories were simple and easy to follow, and we got small breaks too. Lunch wasn’t fancy but tasted good. By the end my feet were tired, still worth it.
Esi K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
My biggest wow moment was basically skipping those long lines; the guide got us in fast and inside there was actually space to breathe. We caught a quiet minute in the courtyard before the crowds swallowed it. Everything flowed so smooth, I didn’t stress at all.
Chinaza E. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
My biggest surprise was when the guide took us to a quiet corner near Arasta Bazaar; the light under the stone arches made my photos look studio-level. He dropped little history bits, not boring at all. Everything was smooth, honestly.
Brianna K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide was genuinely energetic from the start, and it made the whole day feel easy. Walking around Sultanahmet felt kind of unreal; standing outside Hagia Sophia and then going down into the Basilica Cistern was such a cool contrast. The Grand Bazaar part was a bit rushed, but honestly I saw enough before I was too tired for dinner. Group was small and relaxed, no one was pushing us.
Esteban Q. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Somehow I found myself drifting through Sultanahmet streets, jumping between stories and stops. Our guide linked Hagia Sophia from the outside, Topkapi, the Hippodrome, and the Grand Bazaar in a really logical order, so we covered a ton in one day. The history bits were detailed but never heavy. However the bazaar crowds got a bit intense and our free time there felt short.
Federico G. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Our guide made the city feel friendly from the first minute. We walked around Sultanahmet, saw the outside of Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Basilica Cistern, and had some free time in the Grand Bazaar. The history parts were really nice, but after lunch the pace felt a bit rushed and it was hard to not lose the group in the crowds. Still, a full day.
Yaroslav K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Turning a corner, the underground cistern columns just appeared in front of me; the stonework and centuries of wear make you go quiet. The guide told stories without overdoing it, everything felt perfect.

My biggest wow moment was walking into Hagia Sophia with almost no line; the crowds stayed outside, it felt so calm.
Estuardo P. 4.0 / 5 Very Good
Our guide explained cracks in domes and old stonework so well I felt like an architecture student (except I kept hunting for simit). The columns and Hippodrome ruins in Sultanahmet were a proper time machine; I kept whispering “who built this??” at every corner. But we rushed a couple stops because of crowds, so it’s not 5 stars.
Taras K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent

The Old City grabbed me in the first few steps. We saw Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Basilica Cistern, then got a bit lost in the Grand Bazaar (in a good way). The colors of the Old City at golden hour hit me in the chest, like the stones were glowing. Walking through Sultanahmet, the call to prayer and the seagulls mixed together and I got quiet inside. Our guide told the history without rushing, everything just flowed. When we caught that sunset view toward the Bosphorus, I felt like I’d missed Istanbul for years.

It felt more calm and easy than I expected. The guide kept us moving around Sultanahmet without stress, and explained Topkapi Palace and the Basilica Cistern with nice details but not too much. The short stop near the Grand Bazaar was a good break. Long day, yes, but the pace was balanced and we still had time for photos.

Our guide made us feel like family within minutes, with jokes and little history stories that stayed with me. Walking around Sultanahmet, seeing Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque still feels like an old movie in my head. But the day was a bit tough: lots of waiting, some stops felt rushed, and in the crowds it was easy to lose the group. Still, I’m glad for that warm feeling.
Yandel R. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide made me notice even the stones have stories. The worn lines on the columns at the Hippodrome, the layered domes of Hagia Sophia, and the quiet arches in the Basilica Cistern totally pulled me in. Every stop felt well paced and I kept staring at the ancient details. The Katalay team handled it smooth, no stress at all.
Chinonso E. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
I honestly froze for a second when we caught the Old City at golden hour; the sky went pink to orange and the domes and minarets looked like they were glowing. Our guide slipped in a bit of history without killing the mood, and even the crowds felt calm. Everything ran smooth, no rushing, and I’m still thinking about those colors.
Hamish R. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide pulled us away from the crowds into little back lanes and suddenly Istanbul felt like a postcard. Courtyards, colourful tiles, and a tiny terrace looking over the Golden Horn… my camera didn’t stop. Every stop had a quick story, but it never felt like a lecture. By the end I was weirdly nostalgic, like I’d been here before.
Eirik S. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
Our guide had me looking at stone and brick like it was a language. In Sultanahmet the domes and arches stack up like layers; inside Hagia Sophia the marble veins and worn mosaic traces just pull you in. The old columns at the Hippodrome felt like they still kept the noise of chariot races. Everything flowed perfectly, and the Katalay team was solid too.

At one point in the crowd of Sultanahmet I just stopped and thought “wow”. The guide told the stories in a nice way and we saw Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern and Grand Bazaar without rushing. Lunch was simple but ok. What I liked most was we had little pauses to breathe and feel the city.
Raghav S. 5.0 / 5 Excellent
One story from our guide just made the whole city click: standing under the Hagia Sophia dome, I could actually picture emperors and sultans walking the same stones. The history didn’t feel like a lecture, more like a scene from a movie. Even with the crowds around Sultanahmet, the day flowed perfectly and nothing felt off.

I didn’t expect the city to change colors like that, but at the end we walked onto Galata Bridge and the sunset hit everything in copper and pink. Katalay team stacked the schedule like Tetris, not a second wasted.

Our guide made it feel like he really loved the city from minute one. We walked around Sultanahmet, saw Hagia Sophia from outside, then went to the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome area. The details at Topkapi Palace were my favorite, not boring history talk. We had free time in the Grand Bazaar and I bought spices and some lokum. Long day but it went smooth, only a bit crowded and my feet were dying :)

Our guide started sharing stories about the old city while we were still walking, so the day went fast. We wandered around Sultanahmet Square, saw Hagia Sophia from outside, and I got a bit lost in the Grand Bazaar (in a fun way). The details at Topkapi surprised me, there’s so much. Group wasn’t too big, so you could ask questions. Tiring but worth it.

I didn’t expect the city to glow like that near golden hour. Walking through Sultanahmet, even the stones looked warm and honey-colored, and the silhouettes of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque felt unreal. Our guide kept the history clear and lively, never boring. Topkapi’s courtyards in that soft light were perfect for photos. The Katalay team handled everything smoothly too.

Near sunset the city went gold, Sultanahmet colors were crazy; guide kept it chill with history, but the Grand Bazaar crowd was a bit too much.

Our guide made us feel relaxed from the first minute, and the day flowed really well. We walked around the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, the area around Hagia Sophia, and the Grand Bazaar; the stories didn’t feel like a lecture, more like chatting. Lunch was simple but nice. Even with the crowds, I didn’t feel rushed, only wished for a bit more free time.

Our guide pulled us together like old friends from the start; wandering around Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet Square, and the Grand Bazaar felt like a story, not a checklist. He mixed history with little jokes, so the group kinda became a small family, and the Katalay team was calm and organized. But the crowds in the bazaar were a bit overwhelming and we lost each other for moments.

Somehow walking through the old streets, I felt like I was in another time. Our guide explained the stories calmly and clear, and even with the crowds the pace was fine. The atmosphere around Sultanahmet, seeing Hagia Sophia from outside, and small stops in the Grand Bazaar really stayed with me. By the end we were a bit tired, but worth it.

Right around golden hour the city turned into a box of warm colors, and I almost walked into a simit guy while trying to get “the perfect” photo. Wandering Sultanahmet felt unreal, with the light around Hagia Sophia and the long shadows in the Blue Mosque courtyard. Our guide mixed history with jokes, so nobody drifted off. Katalay team ran it all super smooth.
