The guide started talking about the early Ottoman years already on the road, so the day made more sense. When we arrived at the tomb it felt very calm, not crowded, and I liked that. Lunch was simple but filling. On the way back the traffic took longer, we got to Istanbul late, only minus.

On the drive back near sunset, the city turned honey-gold, and Istanbul looked almost painted through the window. The tomb visit felt calm and respectful, and our guide shared the history without overdoing it. Golden hour light sat softly on the trees and stone, so my photos needed zero filter. The Katalay team kept everything smooth and comfortable.

Our guide started telling Ertugrul’s story even before we left the car, and it set the mood for the day. The drive from Istanbul is long, yes, but the vehicle was comfy and we had a proper stop. The tomb area felt quiet and respectful, more emotional than I expected. We also walked a bit around Söğüt and saw the small museum part. Katalay team handled the timing well, no rushing.

Once we left the city and drove into the green hills, I knew it would be a different kind of day. The tomb area felt simple and quiet, nobody was talking loud inside. Our guide explained the early Ottoman stories in an easy way, and it was ok to ask questions. It’s a long ride but the car was comfortable and breaks were timed well. On the way back we did a short walk around Söğüt, which I liked.

Half asleep on the bus with the guide’s calm voice, leaving Istanbul felt like stepping into an old memory. Hotel pick-up was smooth and the air-conditioned van stayed comfy all day. At Ertugrul Ghazi’s tomb the atmosphere was very respectful, and the history talk stayed with me. But the lunch stop was a bit crowded, so not 5.

I didn’t expect the day to feel so calm, and honestly I liked that. It’s a long drive from Istanbul but the driver was steady. At the tomb the atmosphere was really respectful, and our guide explained the story in a simple way without overdoing it. We also stopped in Sogut for a short walk and I grabbed some lokum from a tiny shop. Only downside was the ride back, traffic got us and I was pretty tired.

When the sunset painted the city gold and pink, I tried posing like a pro photographer (failed badly). The tomb history was explained simply, the ride was comfy, and the Katalay team kept us awake with jokes.

Our guide had us laughing before we even got out of the van, and the whole day felt like a little friend group. The tomb area was really peaceful and the history bits weren’t boring, just the right amount. On the road I met people from different countries and everyone tried to pose like a horse-warrior scene… I couldnt keep a straight face. Katalay team had everything running smooth. Even on the way back, nobody stopped talking.

Our guide started cracking jokes on the bus and suddenly we were all like cousins. At Ertugrul’s tomb the history felt heavy, but he made it light; even the Katalay team at tea stop felt like family. Everything was perfect.

Golden hour made the city glow, colors were wow; guide’s history bits were nice. But timing felt rushed and we waited too long, so comfort was just ok.

What stayed with me most was how quiet it felt once we left Istanbul’s noise. The driver was on time and the car was comfortable. At the tomb the atmosphere was really peaceful, and the guide explained the story in a simple way, not too long. The green scenery around Bilecik was also nice on the road. No rushing, we could look around at our own pace.

Our guide started dropping stories before we even got out the car, so I was locked in. The stonework and arch details at the tomb are sweet, and the nearby ruins just sit there quiet and heavy. Katalay team kept it smooth, no rushing. Pics came out wicked.

Our guide started telling stories on the road and the day suddenly felt more meaningful. Driving out from Istanbul to the Söğüt/Bilecik area is a bit long, but the car was comfy. At Ertugrul Ghazi’s tomb it was very calm, with people praying and a respectful mood. We did a short walk around and also visited the small museum. Katalay team handled the timing well, so we didn’t feel rushed.

The unexpected highlight was actually the drive out of the city, passing quiet villages that felt like old movie scenes. At Ertugrul Ghazi’s tomb the atmosphere was very peaceful and people were respectful. Our guide explained the history in a simple way, not too heavy. Lunch was in a small local place, kinda home-cooked. Long day, but worth it.

Our guide started weaving the story the moment we got in, and the day felt crazy efficient. From Istanbul we reached Söğüt and fit in Ertugrul’s tomb, the small museum, and a walk through the market streets without rushing. Katalay team made every transition smooth; I just enjoyed the views.

Our guide made the tomb’s stonework details and nearby old ruins feel like a story. The dome lines, carved patterns, and that quiet courtyard really got to me. Every stop felt perfectly timed; the Katalay team kept the whole day smooth. The atmosphere inside was honestly very peaceful.

Our guide started stories before we even left the bus; at Ertugrul’s tomb I felt like I’d walked onto a TV set, minus the sword. The historical details were deep, and his jokes had us laughing. But the ride back felt a bit long, my legs were complaining.

What surprised me most was how quickly it got quiet once we left the city. The driver was on time and the ride towards the Bursa area felt smooth. At Ertugrul Ghazi’s tomb we had a short but respectful visit, and the guide separated legend vs history in a nice way. We stopped for tea on the way and it wasn’t crowded, which I liked. Long day, but worth it.

What stayed with me most was leaving Istanbul’s busy streets and going somewhere totally different. The tomb of Ertugrul Ghazi felt quiet and respectful, and our guide explained the stories without overdoing it. The drive is long though, and we hit traffic on the way back, so it got tiring. Still, I’m glad I saw Sogut and the area around it.
