Our guide made everyone feel relaxed right away, and the group pace was nice. We walked around Sultanahmet, saw the Hippodrome and the German Fountain, then went down into the Basilica Cistern. Lots of history but not told in a boring way, more like small stories. It was a bit crowded of course, but in half a day I really got the Old City feeling.

Walking through the narrow streets, I was surprised how alive the old city feels. Our guide kept things moving in Sultanahmet and explained the stories around Hagia Sophia and the Hippodrome in a simple way. The short stop near the Spice Bazaar was nice. What I liked most was just walking through the Old City and hearing a different story on every corner. The moment our guide started talking, the whole area felt alive. We walked around Sultanahmet, saw Hagia Sophia from outside, and stopped at the Hippodrome to hear the old stories. The gardens near Topkapi were a nice surprise too, and it didn’t feel too crowded. It was fast but not rushed, just right. After it ended I still wanted to keep wandering those streets.

Our guide made the city feel friendly in the first minutes. We walked around Sultanahmet, saw the Hippodrome and the German Fountain, and he explained a lot even from outside Hagia Sophia. We continued up toward Süleymaniye and the view was really nice. Only thing, in a few spots it felt a bit rushed because of the crowds.

Stepping into the crowds around Sultanahmet, you feel Istanbul’s energy straight away. Our guide spoke fast but clear; we walked by Hagia Sophia from outside, through the Blue Mosque courtyard, saw the Hippodrome, and had a short break near the Grand Bazaar area. For a half-day it was the right pace, not rushed but not boring. Only thing, the audio headset cut out sometimes, but I still caught everything.

What I liked most was just walking around Sultanahmet without feeling rushed by the crowds. Our guide explained the history of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque in a simple way, and we had a short stop near Topkapi Palace courtyard. Everything was well organized, but at a couple stops we moved a bit too fast. Still a nice morning tour.

While we were walking near the old walls, the sun suddenly came up and the whole city turned honey-colored; domes and the water were glowing pink-gold, I actually stopped. The guide didn’t overtalk, just enough history, and in that light the old streets felt like a movie scene. Everything ran smooth, no stress at all.

Our guide made us feel relaxed from the first minute and explained things clearly. Walking around Sultanahmet was really nice; we saw the outside of Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Hippodrome. On the way toward the Grand Bazaar he shared little stories, not boring. Group was small so it was easy to ask questions. Because it was morning, crowds were lighter and photos were easier. After the tour I just wanted to keep wandering.
