Chinaza O. 4.0 / 5 Very Good

Our guide got us on the horses fast, before the crowds showed up. Sunrise over the valleys was quiet, and the Fairy Chimneys looked unreal from a distance. Best part: no lines, no waiting, just empty trails and hooves. But the helmet fitting took a bit too long at the start, so we got chilly. Still, really enjoyed it.

The guide was calm and kind, no rushing, just that soft light and the city changing colors.

Bálint K. 4.0 / 5 Very Good

Our guide had us laughing like old friends in minutes; he called my horse “potato” and I’m still giggling. Sunrise over the valleys was unreal and the group felt like a little family, but we waited a bit too long to start.

Federico L. 3.0 / 5 Average

Our guide was so warm, he made us feel like family right away; the sunrise over the valleys felt really emotional. But we waited too long and the group was big, so the ride felt a bit rushed. Still, it stayed with me.

Yorman P. 3.0 / 5 Average

Our driver scooped us from the hotel like a ninja and the air‑con van hugged me like a cold burrito. Horses were sweet, and sunrise near the fairy chimneys was really beautiful. But then we waited around 20 minutes and the ride felt a bit rushed, I was just getting my “cowboy face” ready. Guide was friendly, just the timing was messy.

Rafael G. 5.0 / 5 Excellent

The guide said “two hours” and I thought “ok”; somehow we got fairy chimneys, Rose Valley, and sunrise in one go! My horse had more style than me, but it was crazy efficient.

Tadas K. 4.0 / 5 Very Good

Yuxuan L. 5.0 / 5 Excellent

As the sun came up, the valleys turned gold and I felt like I was in an old movie… on a horse. The fairy chimneys near Göreme went pink-orange, and the light spilled over the town like honey. Our guide was calm and funny, and my horse was clearly more experienced than me (I argued with the saddle a bit). The Katalay team kept it all smooth. Two hours flew by.

Husain A. 5.0 / 5 Excellent

The quiet and cool morning air just made me relax right away. My horse was calm and the pace felt ok even for beginners. Riding toward the Rose Valley area, the balloons slowly filled the sky and it looked honestly unreal. The guide was kind, not too chatty but explained things clearly. The 2 hours ended at the right time, not too short not too long.

Minh K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent

While the air was still cool, we covered so much in just two hours—soft trails in Rose Valley and around the fairy chimneys—and the guide kept us calm and moving. It felt short, yet full, and left me weirdly nostalgic.

Fahad A. 5.0 / 5 Excellent

Our guide said “let’s go” and we were already moving before the crowds even found their shoes. We slipped past the balloon-view spots with zero waiting, zero elbow battles, just my horse having opinions (mainly about eating grass). Sunrise over the Rose Valley felt unreal, and the fairy chimneys looked like a movie set. The Katalay team kept it smooth and chill, and two hours flew by.

Eirik L. 5.0 / 5 Excellent

My favorite part was watching the hot air balloons lift off while we rode slowly through the valley. The guide was calm and clear, and looked after the beginners well. The trails around Göreme felt quiet and beautiful, and two hours was just enough. A bit dusty, but that’s Cappadocia.

Eirik N. 5.0 / 5 Excellent

When the sun climbed behind the fairy chimneys, our guide made us feel like family.

Jordi P. 5.0 / 5 Excellent

The small group made it feel kinda private, like we stole a sunrise with just a few strangers and some very opinionated horses. Our guide joked the whole way through the trails near Ürgüp and past the fairy chimneys, and I kept laughing into my scarf. My horse was stubborn, like it had union rules, but it was part of the fun. The Katalay team kept everything calm and smooth, no rushing. Sunrise hit perfectly and my photos look fake.

Tihomir K. 5.0 / 5 Excellent

Fabian G. 5.0 / 5 Excellent

The sound of the horses when the air was still cool just calmed me right away. The group was small and everything started on time, which I liked. We rode through the valleys around Göreme and in the distance the balloons were slowly lifting up. The guide kept it short and clear, and they matched me with a steady horse (I’m not very experienced). About 2 hours felt perfect. Only small thing: my helmet strap was a bit loose.

Kagiso M. 5.0 / 5 Excellent

Watching the sunrise while sitting on a horse felt strangely calming. The trails went between the fairy chimneys and a couple quiet valleys, and the air was cool at that hour. Our guide didn’t rush us, just pointed out where we were and helped with steering the horse. At one point the hot air balloons drifted over us and I just stared. Two hours was a nice length, not too much not too little.

Riding as the sun came up, Göreme’s stone houses and valleys suddenly turned gold and pink, and I honestly forgot to breathe. The guide was calm and confident, never rushing us. It felt way calmer than I expected. We rode slowly through the valleys at sunrise, with the fairy chimneys in the distance and balloons lifting off quietly above us. The guide was kind, knew the horses well, and explained how to hold/control them in a simple way. A bit dusty and my shoes got dirty, but I didn’t mind. 2 hours was just right.

Nabirye K. 3.0 / 5 Average

When the sun hit the valley, the fairy chimneys and Göreme went from pink to gold, super pretty. Horses were calm, views were pure golden hour. But we waited around too long and the group felt crowded, so the narrow trails got jammed. Also the saddle wasn’t that comfy, my back was tired by the end. Katalay team was kind, just wish the timing was tighter.

Watching the balloons fill the sky while you’re on a horse felt a bit unreal. We rode along the edge of Love Valley and wound through the fairy chimneys, super quiet except for the hoof sounds. The guide was calm and helpful, and I felt safe even though I’m not much of a rider. Two hours was just right, left a bit dusty at the end but worth it.

What hit me most was the guide’s energy. From the meetup he learned everyone’s names, cracked jokes, and kept checking nobody was left behind. Horses were calm, the trail through the valleys, and at sunrise the fairy chimneys look unreal. Even on photo stops he didn’t rush us. Two hours flew by, felt like riding with family not strangers. Right before sunrise the valleys were so quiet, I didn’t expect that part. The horses were calm and the pace felt ok for beginners. Two hours went fast and we came back still dusty :)

Honestly, riding a horse between the fairy chimneys at sunrise made me feel so calm. The route went through the valleys near Göreme and we watched lots of balloons floating above, very quiet. Seeing the sky fill with balloons while you move quietly through the valley on a horse is kind of emotional in a weird way. The guide was calm and clear, and adjusted it well for beginners. Around Rose Valley the light was really nice, we stopped a couple times for photos. Two hours felt just right, not short but not tiring.

Riding through the valleys made Cappadocia’s carved rock architecture feel suddenly real. In the sunrise light it was quiet, and you could pick out the sharp lines of the fairy chimneys, arched doorways of old cave homes, and worn stone walls like little ruins. The guide was calm and watchful, adding small bits of history. The route felt like an open-air museum, and two hours was just right. Everything ran smooth.

The moment I got on the horse with a blanket over my legs, everything felt calm. We moved slowly between the valleys and, as the sun came up, the balloons were floating above us. The guide was really relaxed and the horses were gentle (I’m kind of a beginner). A bit dusty, but the views were worth it, especially around Red Valley.

Our guide got us on the horses before the crowds woke up—no long lines, just fairy chimneys and balloons. My horse acted like I was a cowboy, not a tourist, so I played along. The Katalay team was quick and chill. But we waited a bit at the starting point, so not 5 stars. Still, sunrise over the valleys was seriously pretty.
